In the meantime, we should not forget that the cost of purifying and transporting the drinking water consumed by citizens is a significant amount, and it is necessary to prevent water wastage in these days with a little caution in consumption.
In the same context, Hassan Laighi, Director of Public Relations and Public Education of Ardabil Province Water and Sewerage Company, said in an interview with IRNA reporter on Friday: One of the long-standing traditions of Iranians on the eve of the New Year is house shaking, which unfortunately causes an excessive increase in water consumption. And it is necessary for subscribers to pay attention to savings.
He added: Considering the significant decrease in precipitation in the last few years, smart consumption should be considered for daily use and Newroz housewarming of our dear fellow provinces.
Laighi advised the subscribers of water and sewage in Ardabil province: hand over the carpets that need to be washed to the carpet cleaner and avoid washing them at home in order to contribute to saving water.
Director of Water and Sewerage Public Relations of Ardabil Province continued: In addition, the leaking faucets in the toilet, bathroom or kitchen should be replaced because small leaks over time waste a large amount of water and consequently increase the costs of the subscribers. The reason for passing the amount of consumption pattern increases.
This water and sewage expert noted: In the use of electrical appliances such as dishwashers and washing machines, the duration of effective washing should be monitored and carefully in order to use water optimally.
Laighi emphasized: Water in the form of a broom should not be used in cleaning and washing the houses and balconies of buildings, because due to the limited drinking water resources, using such an approach is illogical and far from fair.
He stated that the obsession with washing items such as blankets and sheets led to an increase in water consumption by the subscribers and advised the subscribers to avoid unnecessary washing of these items.
Director of Public Relations of Ardabil Province Water and Wastewater Company, referring to the role of women as an influential group in reducing water consumption, stated: This group should pay due attention to their role and as ambassadors of consumption, encourage family members to adopt a culture of basic consumption. do
Laighi noted: The reduction of dams and surface and underground water reserves following the significant decrease in rainfall in recent years has created a situation where everyone should focus and pay attention to reducing water consumption.
30 cities and more than 991 villages of Ardabil province are covered by the services of Ardabil province water and sewage company, and 401 thousand people in rural areas benefit from safe and sanitary drinking water.
